Who We Are

Lifeline for Childhood Cancer in Ghana (LCCG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making childhood cancer control a national health priority, providing support to families affected by childhood cancer, creating awareness about childhood cancer among health workers and the general public and increasing access to optimal treatment for cure.

Our Vision

Our vision is that every child with cancer, no matter where they live in Ghana, will get the treatment that they need to achieve a cure and that their families will get the support – both financial and emotional – that they need for timely diagnosis and treatment.

Our Mission

Our mission is to optimize access to the best possible care for all children affected by cancer in Ghana, ensuring that no such child suffers needlessly.

Specifically, LCCG will:

  1. Raise funds for the treatment and care of children with cancer and their families
  2. Facilitate access to medical care for children with cancer including effective palliative care.
  3. Create awareness among the general public about childhood cancers in Ghana
  4. Promote the development of training materials for health workers to integrate into pre-service and in-service training to ensure early detection and treatment.
  5. Advocate for accessible high-quality diagnostic and treatment facilities in Ghana.
